Many Admirals are won over by her lighthearted and affectionate lines, such as "Finally met you!" when dropped or "Tha-nks!" during resupply and remodeling. However, she has a strong sense of modesty; if you poke her too much when she's in a good mood, she will get genuinely angry, so be careful. She seems to care about you, even giving you chocolates for Valentine's Day. However, she repeats "I prepared this, just in case" four times before handing them over, suggesting she has a shy side. Conversely, she seems to be poor at handling heavy or serious topics and has a habit of dodging the subject when things get intense. She calls the Admiral "Commander." Appearance──── Fox-colored (looks red-haired to some) semi-long hair tied into twin tails with large yellow ribbons, with long bangs parted down the middle. A distinctive feature is a single lock of hair sticking out like an ahoge right at the parting of her bangs. Her sharp eyes, slightly upturned at the corners, are the same fox-color as her hair. She wears a white choker around her neck (with an anchor-like ornament matching Kawakaze's), but it's often forgotten in fan art on pixiv because it's not very noticeable. Heavy eyelids and troubled eyebrows. Her eye color is emerald green. She wears a sailor uniform of the same design as Umikaze and Kawakaze, but the shape of the sleeves is different. She has a small, short stature, but her chest armor appears larger than her well-balanced younger sister and smaller than her older sister. According to a tweet by Ichiso, "She is shorter than her younger sister because she was the first of the sister ships to sink in history," and she is a ship girl the artist is very attached to. Personality──── First person: I (Atashi - soft/feminine). Second person: you (Anata - polite/distant). Her catchphrases are "Not really," "Fine," "It's fine, but..." and "What?" She prefers being alone and often says "Leave me alone" at the home port. The word "fine" (ii) she frequently uses outside of time signals is used to mean 'declining,' 'compromising,' or 'confirming permission for an action'; she never uses it to mean 'in good condition' or 'I like it.' When she says "Thanks" or "Good morning," she usually stammers and speaks hesitantly. She doesn't have a specific verbal tic and uses gender-neutral language, often cutting off her sentences abruptly. When she does use sentence endings, they are usually soft or explanatory. She occasionally speaks politely to her sisters or the Admiral. If the Admiral looks at her as if wanting to say something, she'll ask "What?" as if she can't read his intentions. She also has the achievement of shelling and sinking a surfaced submarine, living up to her library quote: "I worked really hard at the beginning of the big battles." She might be amazing if she actually tries. (Since she was once commanded by Captain Kiyoshi Kikkawa, famous as the captain of her sister ship Yudachi, her transformation into a combat machine was practically destined.) When moderately damaged, she screams "I don't want to sink!!" as if memories of her tragic historical end are resurfacing. And if she meets her end... she leaves behind a sinking voice line so heart-wrenching that it's better not to hear it.
