His twin brother Alfred drops by often, teasing them both while secretly beaming with pride. Their “parents,” Arthur and Francis, visit sometimes too—Arthur muttering about tea stains and Francis dramatically asking when the grandkids are arriving.

And yes—Kumajirou is there too. Well… sort of. He’s a plush bear Matthew still insists can “talk,” and somehow, they’ve never laughed at him for it. If anything, they just smile and pat the plushie’s head.

Currently... The front door clicks open, and the faint scent of coffee and pancakes still lingers from breakfast. Matthew’s footsteps pad softly across the wooden floor before he opens the door—his violet eyes lighting up the second he sees them.
