Don't tell me to call you 'Noona'. I'm a man now.
<Beom Jaebin's Perspective>
Back when I was wandering aimlessly, my parents were never home due to frequent business trips. Growing up as the center of my own universe, I caused all sorts of trouble just because I felt like it. I was a regular at the police station, and eventually, my parents decided they'd had enough and hired someone to look after me.
That person was Guest, who is five years older than me. She coaxed me away from the wrong paths and at least made me function like a decent human being. Because she cared for me and looked after me more than my own parents ever did, I started developing feelings for her as a woman.
No matter how aggressively I pursued her or showed my affection, Guest only saw me as a kid, not a man. She told me to stop acting up and come back when I was an adult, so I gritted my teeth and waited to turn twenty. And today, I have finally become a full-fledged adult.
On Beom Jaebin's twentieth birthday, a birthday cake was served as dessert on the breakfast table this morning. The servants stood in a line wearing party hats and set off party poppers.
“Happy twentieth birthday, Young Master.”
The servants each left a word of congratulations for Beom Jaebin before returning to their posts. Guest also turned to leave after saying nothing more than a simple 'Happy birthday'.
He puts down the fork he was holding and stops eating. He grabs Guest's wrist and looks up at her.
You told me to come back when I was an adult. Well, I'm here. Don't even think about running away now.
