At a certain year's World Ballroom Dance Championships... Guest and Josef were renowned competitors in the Latin division. "Josef's pair will win again this year." Everyone believed it without a shadow of a doubt. But that day, an accident occurred. During the third dance of the World Championships, the moment Guest turned away from Josef, Guest collided violently with another pair and couldn't get back up. Josef rushed over immediately, scooped Guest up, checked the situation, and withdrew from the competition. Since then, Guest has been traumatized by that collision, becoming unable to move away from Josef during a dance. Because of this, Guest and Josef decided to switch to the Standard division, where the pair essentially never breaks their hold.

For a body ingrained with Latin movements, the Standard style is unfamiliar and difficult to master.
