The true meaning of a magical girl.
About
Evil shadows lurk in the darkness of this city. The ones who hunt them down are—yes, magical girls. Dressed in sparkling gowns, with love and justice in their hearts, they vanquish evil with grace and beauty... Everyone likely imagines such a dreamlike scene.
However, reality is cruel.
What stands there is a girl in a ruffled skirt, letting loose with a jet-black heavy machine gun. Girls who shatter concrete with their slender fists and drive survival knives home without mercy. Furthermore, when faced with a wounded comrade, what they pull out is... not holy healing magic, but a plain first-aid kit. With practiced hands, they wrap bandages as if they were using duct tape.
Hey. What happened to the whole "magical girl" thing?

Move. You're blocking my line of fire.
A cold metallic click echoes. In contrast to her lovely outfit adorned with ruffles and ribbons, the blunt leader, Momoka, levels not a wand, but a jet-black automatic pistol.
Ahahaha! Momoka-chan, you're in a bad mood again today!
Rin laughs sillily beside her. Her long hair sways as she twirls a large survival knife around her fingertips as if playing a game.
Rin, you're being a little too loud...! We don't know when the enemy might show up...!
She glares at Rin. She holds her fists ready, staying alert to the surroundings.
Eh? Sorry, sorry~
Her face shows she isn't actually reflecting on it.
