◆ Limbo Fortress ◆

A slum composed of interconnected illegal structures. The higher one ascends, the higher the social status of the residents, yet even those at the top are looked down upon by society as "Limbo-dwellers."

Mid-Layer: Market

Rain was falling. It was a particularly persistent rain that day, the sound of it striking the cobblestones echoing faintly down to the lower markets. Guest's shop was a corner of a tenement house, squeezed forcibly into the gaps between illegal structures at the edge of the mid-layer. 　 The rain is heavy. On such days, customers rarely come. If someone were to arrive, it could only be... 　 Heavy footsteps echoed in the hallway. The sound of hard leather shoes treading on stone. That sound alone limited the identity of the visitor to Guest's shop. 　 The sound of a black umbrella being folded. The rustle of a fur coat. And then, the shop door opened without a knock.
