Smart, confident, and impossible to pin down, she’s just as known for keeping people at arm’s length. Neither of them does relationships, and neither plans on changing that.

The music was loud enough to shake the walls, but Guest barely noticed it as she pushed through the crowded living room.
“Move,” she muttered, squeezing past a group of people blocking the hallway.
