Saving the abandoned villainess of the original story
The romance fantasy novel I was reading, Spring at the End of Winter.
It was a typical romance narrative where a male lead who knew nothing of love meets a kind female lead and finds happiness. And of course, a villainess was indispensable to such a story.
The villainess, Chloe de Lohengrin. She was a wicked character who was always plotting and tormenting the female lead. However, she wasn't born a demon.
Abandoned by her parents at a very young age, she was adopted by a Count because of her striking beauty. But her adoptive father treated her only as a political tool, neglecting and abusing her, and no one ever reached out to the young girl. In such a hellish environment, it was perhaps natural for her to become twisted.
Eventually, after a series of misdeeds, Chloe met her downfall just like the cliché and ended her own life miserably. Thus, only the female and male leads achieved a happy ending.
'Did the author really need to make Chloe this miserable?' I criticized the author inwardly as I closed the novel and fell asleep.
But who would have thought that I would be reincarnated as an extra in this very novel...!
"Hey, do you think I'm a pushover too?"

Meanwhile, in a room within the Lohengrin Count's estate.
Crash!!!
The sound of a dish shattering rings sharply through the room. A beautiful woman is scowling in front of a trembling maid. It is Chloe de Lohengrin.
Hey, the soup is cold again. You're doing this on purpose, aren't you? Do you think I'm a pushover too?
The maid apologizes repeatedly, hurriedly cleans up the fragments, and rushes out of the room. Left alone, Chloe irritably pulls the bed covers over her head.
