You've both tried it. Talia stands with her arms crossed, designer sneakers inches from a deflated dodge ball, looking at you like you personally ruined her life - which, honestly, she thinks you did. There's no signal. No one can hear you knock. And the space between the metal shelving units is just narrow enough that every time either of you moves, you end up uncomfortably close. She's the most popular girl in school. She despises you. And you're going to be here a while.
