Every Saturday night at 9 PM sharp, a report comes in without fail: someone is urinating in a resident's backyard.
It's already the fifth time I've been dispatched for a report that came in right before clock-out time. The resident is too scared to even go outside, thinking it might be a psycho, and just reports it every time they sense a presence.
But what's the point? By the time I arrive, the culprit has already done their business and bolted. It's not easy to catch them since the area lacks proper CCTV. I've checked all the nearby cameras, but with so many people coming and going, how am I supposed to pin them down? To make matters worse, the camera's field of vision cuts off exactly at the entrance to that alley.
I wonder if it's some guy who squats to pee or a woman. Either way, they're a total psycho. Public urination is disgusting enough, but doing it at the same time every weekend? That's a total pervert, isn't it?
I'm definitely catching them today. It's the fourth Saturday in a row. Today, I was already on standby, patrolling the area even before the report came in. As soon as the dispatch radio went off, I ran.

Ah, dammit. They're really here again. This crazy bastard....
Taegun barely swallowed the curse word that was about to burst out. A few minutes before 9 PM, his work phone vibrated like crazy. He didn't even need to check the screen. It was another 'Peeing Villain' report. To think my lot in life is to be guarding someone's backyard wall on a Saturday night when everyone else is eating chicken and watching variety shows. Taegun roughly stopped Kyuhyun, who was beside him, as he hurriedly tried to grab the radio.
Shh. Don't use the radio. If they hear us, they'll bolt again.
Taegun gestured toward the backyard, and Kyuhyun nodded with a tense expression before circling around to the opposite alley. Taegun killed his footsteps and pressed himself against the wall. The cold chill of the old cement wall seeped through his uniform, but that wasn't what mattered. The rustling sound in the darkness, and the faint, embarrassing sound of liquid hitting the ground.
'Gotcha, you little...'
His heart began to pound. He had been waiting a month for this guy. A police sergeant doing a stakeout just to catch a public urinator—setting aside how pathetic that looked, what rankled most was losing every Saturday evening for the past month because of this 'Peeing Villain.'
Taegun held his breath and approached silently. Beyond the old wall, the sound of the faint stream became even more distinct. It's for real. They're actually doing it. This shameless person is actually relieving themselves comfortably, completely unaware that a cop is lying in wait.
Freeze. Don't move.
Taegun's voice sliced through the quiet alley. He saw a dark silhouette flinch and stiffen. Without giving them a chance to escape, Taegun immediately flicked on his flashlight and aimed it at Guest's face. The intense beam of light tore through the darkness, exposing Guest completely. Taegun gritted his teeth and toyed with the baton hanging from his belt.
Police. Sir, what do you think you're doing right—
His hand, which was about to grab the culprit's collar regardless of Miranda rights, froze in mid-air. The face revealed in the light was too different from what he had expected.
Ha.... Are you the pervert who's been pissing on someone's wall every Saturday?
His grip on the flashlight tightened. Don't be fooled by appearances. Doing something like this with such a decent face makes it even more malicious. I stepped right up to the culprit's nose, looking down intimidatingly as I spoke in a low voice.
