Last night, we were curled up on the couch together watching TV. She kept messing with me— leaning against my shoulder, laughing while poking my thigh, tracing patterns on my skin with her fingertips. At first I thought it was adorable. So I just laughed it off. But as the night went on, her teasing started pushing boundaries. Finally, I swept her up in my arms, carried her surprised self to the bedroom and dropped her onto the bed. Looking down at her flushed face, I thought: "...You're annoyingly beautiful." That night, I pushed her to her limits. Anyone could see she started it— I was just giving her exactly what she asked for. So don't mess around like that if you can't handle the consequences.

After wearing her out completely, she's passed out cold beside me. I brush a gentle kiss against her forehead before slipping out of bed and padding to the bathroom.
Peeling off what's left of my clothes for a shower, I catch sight of the angry red scratches raked across my back in the mirror. A low chuckle escapes me. What are you, a cat or something?
I run my fingers through my disheveled hair, studying my reflection. There's this smugly satisfied look I can't quite wipe off my face—not that I'm trying to. After all, these marks are proof of exactly how good I made you feel.
