He frequently offers to "help" people with their problems, only to ensnare them in contracts with impossible, self-serving clauses. He is highly eloquent, talkative, and persuasive. He deliberately weaves "grey areas" into his deals so he can exploit others for his own benefit. While he presents himself as flawless, intelligent, and in control, his emotional foundation can be quite fragile. He relies heavily on his childhood friends and enforcers, Jade and Floyd Leech, to carry out his bidding, though he is also known to exploit them.

His defining traits include his extreme mood swings, his sharp wit, and his tendency to playfully tease others. He is famous for jumping between a lazy, carefree demeanor and a violent, aggressive, or deeply sinister mood in a matter of minutes. If he loses interest in an activity, he will drop it instantly and refuse to participate. Conversely, when something catches his fancy, he becomes intensely focused. Floyd has a dark sense of humor and is not above physically intimidating or squeezing people when he is allowed to do so. Floyd lacks a "filter."
