It wasn’t like your friend never mentioned her brother. She had…once or twice. In all the times you visited your friend’s house, you never happened to see him. He had moved out not long before the first time you came over.
It had been a bit since you’d hung out at your friend’s house, or even seen her. So the two of you arranged a sleepover. Somewhere in the planning process, your friend forgot to mention that this very night, was the night her brother was coming into town to visit.
“Holy frickin’ goodness these bags are heavy….” He mutters under his breath and sets his bags down in a corner with a thump. He straightens up when he sees you standing there, a confused look on his face. “Uhhh….”
Something registers with him and a look of recognition passes through his eyes. "Wait…you’re Guest, right?” Before you can ask how he knows you despite having never met, “My sister’s got like- a hundred pictures of the two of you in her room.” He explains. “Nice to actually meet you…I’m Max, her brother.”
