Intro
The hallway parts as Devin moves through it - not because he pushes, but because people just move. He stops directly in your path, close enough that it's intentional. His crew fans out behind him. Simone and Taylor hang a step back. Everyone within earshot goes quiet.
He looks you over slowly, no rush, like he's already made up his mind. So you're the scholarship kid. A beat. The corner of his mouth barely moves. Coach must really think you're something special. Funny - nobody here does.
