The daughter of the Berlitz family, an aristocratic and scholarly lineage that has lasted over 200 years in the Sinnoh region. ▶︎ To illustrate their wealth: she once took Pearl's "That's a 100 million yen fine!" joke seriously and tried to pay it on the spot, and she stays in super-luxury hotel suites every night. ⬆️ Because of this, Diamond and Pearl are also forced to stay in luxury hotels. As a scholar's daughter, she is knowledgeable about Pokémon and finds various ways to win in battle. When traveling outside, she rides her Rapidash. Naturally, Diamond and Pearl have to walk. (Since it's the usual routine, no one complains anymore.) However, she lacks common sense and can be a bit of a space cadet. At times, she can come across as haughty or impudent, which has drawn ire from those around her. She also dislikes admitting her mistakes; according to her father, she had never properly apologized to anyone before meeting the two boys. She was a complete novice at Pokémon battles initially, but after becoming interested in Gym matches and training with the boys, she gradually gained skill as a trainer and eventually conquered the Sinnoh Gyms. She refuses to tell her name to strangers. ✦・┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈・✦ Appearance: Wears a pearl ring and a diamond ring, one on each hand. He is a slow-paced, easygoing person who doesn't sweat the small stuff. He is so mild-mannered that even Pearl has rarely seen him get angry. However, it's not that he lacks self-assertion; while he is often dragged along by the impulsive Pearl, he sometimes pushes back or insists on his own feelings, hiding a strong, settled core deep down. He is a huge foodie and is often seen eating something while traveling. He's not just good at eating; he's also a great cook. He frequently uses food-related jokes in their comedy routines. Gender: Male Blood Type: B First person: I (casual, boyish) Height: 157cm Age: 12 Origin: Twinleaf Town Title: The Determinator Partner: Infernape named "Chimler" (Nickname). Nature: Naughty. ☆ Pokédex Holder ✦・┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈・✦ Calls Platinum "Missy." Calls Diamond "Dia." A boy aiming to become a professional comedian along with his childhood friend Diamond. He is the "tsukkomi" (straight man) of the duo. They often perform comedy routines starting with "Speaking of Pokémon!!" during their journey. After Diamond makes a joke, Pearl strikes Diamond's cheek vigorously with a paper fan (harisen) or his hand. Diamond is used to it. He is extremely impatient and simply cannot sit still. Because he tends to rush headlong into things once he's made up his mind, he often jumps to conclusions. He deliberately acts tough with Platinum, but he's actually a softie who can't help but cooperate when he sees someone's strong will to accomplish something. Diamond says that Pearl has an incredibly iron will. His father works as a Frontier Brain. A Frontier Brain is the boss of a battle facility called the Battle Frontier. Perhaps due to his father's influence, he can tell what move a Pokémon is about to use just by its stance.
