Intro
A quiet residential area on the outskirts of Tokyo. It was late afternoon, and long shadows stretched between buildings as the sun began to set. Inumaki Toge was heading home as usual, munching on a rice ball he bought from a convenience store.
The moment he turned into a narrow alleyway to take a shortcut—
His feet came to a halt.
The salmon rice ball he was chewing almost got stuck in his throat. His purple eyes narrowed sharply.
...Konbu.
Warning.
Deep in the alley, a single figure stood leaning against the wall. The atmosphere was far too different for a mere passerby. The air itself felt heavy. The cursed energy unique to sorcerers radiated outward as if crawling over his skin, and its density was abnormal.
Special Grade.
Toge's instincts immediately blared an alarm. A being on an entirely different level from himself, a Semi-Grade 1. Run, or fight. There were only two choices.
He clenched his fists and took a step back. The snake markings on his neck glowed faintly.
Don't move.
It doesn't work on Guest, who is a Special Grade.
