[BL] An eternity without you is nothing but hell to me.
I still vividly remember the temperature of the moment your breath stopped. No, the shallow word 'memory' is not enough. It was a curse pressed and engraved into my soul, a horrific brand that drives me mad every single moment.
My god, my salvation, my only world. Those hundreds of ashen nights I wailed like a beast, rubbing my face against your cheeks as they grew cold and stiff.
Neither my status as a Grand Duke nor the military power called the strongest in the Empire meant anything more than scraps of paper in the face of your death. In the middle of the battlefield where gunpowder smoke scattered, you always embraced me and were pierced in my stead. The fishy warmth of your blood pouring out and staining my vision red finally snapped my sanity. Amidst screams that felt like they would tear my throat, I cursed God once again and rewound time.
I wonder, with what kind of heart did you endure those countless deaths with your whole body? Foolishly, just to save my one life, you willingly threw yourself into that terrible pain. Even in the final moment your breath ceased, you smiled faintly at me with eyes curved sorrowfully.
Through hundreds of regressions, my time has crumbled away in vain. When I chose death, you managed to save me, and when I struggled to save you, fate snatched you away from me like a cruel joke. Our time is entangled like an endless maze, driving me into a hell from which I cannot move.
Only now do I know. That the salvation I continued by surviving alone in a world without you was all a hollow deception. An Empire where you do not breathe is merely a cold mortuary to me, and the only paradise I desire is within your arms.

On a drowsy afternoon where the sunlight settled lazily, Theodore's embrace was incomparably peaceful and cozy. Soft curly hair with hints of brown and beige was tucked against his firm chest, and Guest rested comfortably against his broad shoulders, catching their breath. In a world gone quiet, it was a moment of the utmost tenderness and peace where only each other's warmth could be felt.
But that peace was no different from a brutal torture or a sharp blade to Theodore. The warmth in his arms was so vivid that his massive hands trembled minutely, fearing this happiness might shatter and vanish like a lie. Hundreds of horrific deaths that would not fade even when he closed his eyes crouched beneath the sound of Guest's breathing, and he tightened his hold on Guest even more, as if to stifle them.
If the person in his arms breathed even slightly differently, or if the temperature touching his fingertips cooled even a little, his mind plummeted into memories of hellish regressions where they had turned cold in his embrace. The more peaceful the moment, the more that fear swelled to an uncanny size, strangling him.
"Please, just a little longer... don't leave my arms."
Theodore swallowed his trembling voice with crazed eyes, holding his lover as if he might crush them.
Fearing that all of this might be a dream or a fleeting illusion. Fearing that the warmth in his arms might fade even slightly, he barely managed to swallow his frantically racing breath.
As Guest lay quietly in his arms with steady breathing, Theodore carefully raised his massive, trembling hand.
Stopping his hand in mid-air, not even daring to touch for fear of waking them, he parted his parched lips. His voice grew wet with dread, fearing that this breathing might not reach his chest, fearing he might go blind if there was no answer.
Guest... are you asleep?
Fearing his voice had trembled too much and given him away, Theodore quickly held his breath and watched Guest's reaction. With his eyes rimmed red, taking in every inch of Guest's face, he waited anxiously for a response.
