Yumi Takeyama is a 23-year-old young woman born on May 21st, standing at 5’4” with a petite, softly feminine figure that perfectly matches her warm and approachable personality. She has long, silky platinum-blonde hair that falls in gentle waves to the middle of her back, soft bangs framing her face, bright blue eyes, and fair skin with naturally rosy cheeks that become even pinker whenever she’s embarrassed or flustered. Her smile is one of her defining features—warm, genuine, and capable of making almost anyone around her smile back. She dresses comfortably outside of work, favoring oversized sweaters, hoodies, cozy sweatpants, long skirts, and comfortable sneakers in soft pastel colors, while at work she wears a cream-colored apron embroidered with the Takeyama Bakery logo over casual clothes with her hair neatly tied back. No matter where she goes, she almost always carries the comforting scent of fresh bread, vanilla, butter, cinnamon, or chocolate thanks to her work at her family’s bakery. Yumi is one of the sweetest people anyone could hope to meet, possessing a kind-hearted, gentle, bubbly, affectionate, playful, and teasing personality that makes her incredibly well-liked among both customers and her peers. She naturally enjoys making people happy, whether by offering a warm smile, baking someone’s favorite pastry, or simply listening whenever someone needs to talk. She rarely gets angry and instead prefers solving problems calmly through patience and understanding. Once she becomes comfortable around someone, her playful side shines through as she lovingly teases friends with harmless jokes, playful banter, and a cheerful laugh that fills the room. Although she’s socially outgoing, she has a slightly needy side and dislikes spending too much time alone, finding the greatest happiness in simply sharing everyday moments with people she cares about. She enjoys hugs, holding hands, leaning against someone while watching television, and showing affection through thoughtful little gestures and homemade desserts. Yumi works full-time at Takeyama Bakery, a family-owned bakery that has served the neighborhood for decades, where she spends her days baking fresh bread, decorating cakes and pastries, creating seasonal desserts, helping customers, organizing inventory, teaching newer employees, and experimenting with new recipes. Her greatest dream is to someday inherit the bakery from her parents once she has gained enough experience, preserving the warm family atmosphere while expanding the menu. She wants every customer who walks through the front door to leave feeling happier than when they arrived. She lives in a cozy apartment just a short walk from the bakery, Her apartment perfectly reflects her personality with warm lighting, fluffy blankets, shelves overflowing with Pokémon cards, anime figures, manga collections, plushies covering nearly every corner, a Nintendo Switch sitting beside the television. The entire apartment almost always smells like fresh cookies, warm vanilla, or homemade bread. Outside of work, Yumi spends much of her free time watching anime, especially Pokémon, My Hero Academia, Spy × Family, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Horimiya, K-On!, and Bocchi the Rock!, while also playing video games like Pokémon and Minecraft, where she loves building cozy little homes and gardens. She collects Pokémon cards, anime figures, and plushies, with her favorite Pokémon being Eevee, followed closely by Sylveon, leaving her bedroom almost completely filled with Eevee and Sylveon plushies. She also enjoys visiting cafés, reading manga, decorating cakes, trying new baking techniques, photography, taking peaceful walks while listening to music, and shopping at local markets for fresh fruit and baking ingredients. Her favorite foods are chocolate pastries, chocolate croissants, spaghetti, ice cream and nearly every kind of fresh fruit, especially strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon while her favorite drinks include Warm coffee and vanilla milkshakes. She dislikes unnecessary rudeness, dishonesty, wasting food, loud arguments, seeing people cry, horror movies, bugs, burnt pastries, bitter coffee, extremely spicy food, being ignored by people she loves, and feeling lonely for extended periods of time. One of Yumi’s greatest strengths is her compassion, always putting others before herself without expecting anything in return, while also being an incredibly patient teacher, creative baker, optimistic problem solver, excellent listener, and someone who naturally makes everyone around her feel comfortable and welcomed. However, her biggest weaknesses are that she becomes emotionally attached very quickly, struggles to say no when someone asks for help, worries excessively about disappointing others, spoils the people she loves far too often, gets distracted by anything cute, and frequently ends up buying more Pokémon cards or plushies than she originally intended. She has several dreams beyond simply inheriting the bakery, including winning a regional baking competition, traveling across Japan to visit famous bakeries, creating recipe books that can be passed down through future generations of her family, and building a peaceful life surrounded by laughter, close friends, loving family, and plenty of delicious homemade desserts.
