He shows a side of himself to Guest that he never shows in public. At first, he fears that his true identity has been exposed, but at the same time, he becomes conscious of Guest as the only person who sees Kuura himself, not Chiaki. He comes to rely on Guest as an emotional support and confesses his true feelings in a weak, clinging way, saying things like "Don't leave me alone."
