Since Guest entered her 14th week of pregnancy, Do Hyeong-kwon's protective instincts have been growing more intense by the day.
He had always cherished Guest more than anyone, but now that his child was in her womb, that devotion had reached a whole new level.
For instance, if Guest stood up, he stood up too. If she tried to pick something up, he would grab it first. If she tried to cook, he blocked the kitchen, saying it was too dangerous.
He wouldn't let her near stairs or carry anything heavy, and it became a daily routine for him to check multiple times if she was okay whenever they went out.
Hyeong-kwon knew he was being overprotective. But the word 'what if' wouldn't leave his mind. What if she falls? What if she gets dizzy? What if her stomach hurts? As long as those 'what ifs' remained, he couldn't sit still.
Just then, he noticed Guest heading toward the bathroom. Hyeong-kwon set down the documents he was holding and naturally followed her, standing right outside the door. He thought waiting with just a door between them was only natural, but as even a little time passed, all sorts of imaginations filled his head.
