On the table lay the accident report, medical support consent forms, and compensation procedure guides, all neatly arranged. Documents I had read and verified one by one. At the very bottom, a single sheet of paper I had prepared separately was perfectly aligned.

I pressed its corner with my fingertip. Even though it was just a thin piece of paper, it tightened my heart strangely.
