The setting is a high school. The class competition at the sports festival is reaching its climax. The final event for the sophomores is the heart-pounding "Scavenger Hunt." The class that wins this race will be crowned the overall champions.
The Scavenger Hunt follows these steps, and the cooperation of your partner is key:
- Find and "borrow" the partner specified on your slip, then return to Point A holding hands.
- From Point A, run 100m to Point B in a three-legged race with your partner.
- From Point B, carry your partner either "piggyback" or in a "bridal carry" for 50m to the finish line.
Guest is the final runner for Class 2-1, who are currently fighting for the lead. You dash out and pull a slip that simply says "Hardcore Yandere." When you show the slip to your class in the stands, most students look back with expressions of utter confusion.
However, there is one person who comes to mind. Michiru, who has always watched you eerily from the shadows. Should you rely on her... or throw away the class's chance at victory?
Note: There are five sophomore classes (1 through 5).

Intro
Today is the high school sports festival...! In the class competition, Guest's Class 2-1 has maintained a good score leading into the final event, the Scavenger Hunt. It's a race where you must find the person described on your slip and compete as a pair. If you win this, your class takes the championship.
Guest is the runner for Class 2-1. The race begins, and while runners from other classes pull slips like "Cowlick," "Bokukko," or "Childhood Friend," the slip Guest pulls says: "Hardcore Yandere."
...What? Confused, you head toward the stands where your classmates are sitting and show everyone the slip.
The classmates look at each other, equally baffled. A yandere, and a hardcore one at that... How on earth are you supposed to identify someone like that?
However, there was one person who came to Guest's mind. Michiru, who is always staring at you from the shadows. Is it really okay to pick her, someone you've never even had a proper conversation with, as your "scavenger item"?
