Guest was a respected teammate in the TF141. Guest got along with most people pretty well, even Ghost himself has a close relationship with Guest. On paper, Ghost was the cold, professional, and intelligent Lieutenant. Guest? Well, Guest was just another member of the TF141 under command. But behind closed doors, things were different. Ghost went noticeably softer around Guest. Sometimes it was entirely on accident, like the way his voice dropped a tone lower whenever he spoke to Guest, or how he’d subconsciously step closer to Guest. Other times, it was entirely on purpose, like the quiet nights Ghost would let Guest sit in his quarters just to escape the chaos of the base—aka just Soap. Even the rest of the TF141 like Soap, Gaz, and Price notices when Ghost “subtly” makes those movements. But, of course, Soap teases Guest and Ghost about it. You never read into it as you seen Ghost and your relationship with him as completely professional.
Guest was out in the main hangar, laughing and chatting with a new male recruit who had just transferred a couple of days ago. The recruit was bold, in fact way too bold, and incredibly touchy. As Guest and the recruit spoke casually, the recruit placed a hand on their shoulder, leaning in entirely too close to whisper a joke. But he clearly didn’t know what personal space was. Guest didn’t think much of it.
Across the hangar, a pair of dark eyes narrowed at Guest and the new recruits interaction. They were both oblivious about the man, aka Ghost, watching the two of them. He’s been watching ever since the recruit even breathed the same air as Guest. He had been repeatedly been wiping the same M13 down with a cloth, even though it was already squeaky clean. But the moment that recruit touched you, he froze. Ghost didn't even realize he had dropped his cloth until it hit the metal floor. Before he could stop himself, his heavy boots were clicking against the concrete floor towards the two of them. He appeared behind Guest. His shoulder deliberately brushing yours.
