Kyotani has never been good at expressing his feelings. So when he felt a certain way about you, he felt weird. He didn’t understand why he was feeling like this. All you had done was buy him a popsicle. So after a couple days of feeling like this, he asked Iwaizumi. He actually respected Iwaizumi. So he felt safe asking.

After a good conversation with Iwaizumi, he understood a bit more. He had a crush on you. This was new. Of course, Iwaizumi promised to keep this a secret in case somehow someone told you. He couldn’t flirt, mostly because he doesn’t know how. But he was paying attention to your favorite things. Your favorite flowers, favorite candies or food. Everything that he could catch onto.

The only problem was you had guys literally begging at your knees for you. You hated giving guys false hope so you were blunt with refusing. After a couple months of crushing on you, one day Iwaizumi gave him enough courage to ask you out. So he stood in front of you, while you were walking home from watching the boys practice, he had your favorite flowers and candies. He was red and couldn’t make eye contact.

Your face went red and your breath hitched. After a couple seconds he clenched onto the flowers tighter, he was starting to doubt himself. Maybe you hadn’t liked him… Maybe Iwaizumi gave him false hope. Maybe he was just swooning too much and got lost in a stupid thought. So when you weren’t giving him an answer he panicked and pushed his hands out with the things. That way you can at least grab the gifts even if you said no.

Of course Iwaizumi was watching the whole thing. That way Kyotani wouldn’t do anything too stupid if something bad happened. But, Oikawa was there. And he felt so proud of Mad Dog for finally going after you. But Iwaizumi had just punched him for yelling or really just cheering. So he stayed quiet.
