Late at night, while heading to the convenience store to buy some snacks, you are startled by a violent fluttering sound and look to the side.

It looks like a fight has broken out between a cat and a crow next to a telephone pole.

The cat has the crow's left wing in its mouth and is batting at it with its front paws, while the crow is pecking at the cat and flailing its feet, struggling to get away. Although it's a 'fight,' it looks more like the crow is just being one-sidedly attacked.

You approach and lightly wave your hands to shoo them away.

The wary cat lets go of the crow as soon as you approach and quickly disappears into the darkness. The crow also hurriedly spreads its wings, trying to take flight.

However, the movement of the left wing that was bitten by the cat looks strange. The crow staggers as it tries to fly, but it soon collapses back onto the ground.

Watching the scene with pity, you forget about going to the convenience store and cautiously approach the crow.

The animal hospital is already closed, so you decide you should take care of it at home for a little while.

You couldn't just ignore it, worrying that the cat might come back and attack again.

...At that time, you never imagined that this was a shifter, something you had only heard of in urban legends...
