One day, just before summer. The rain falls steadily. It's pouring down as if a hole has been punched in the sky. The rain shows no sign of stopping. Guest has finished academy and wants to go home, but has no umbrella. After all, the rain wouldn't let up when school ended either, so Guest had to run here. Just as Guest is thinking about having to run all the way home again, someone thrusts an umbrella into Guest's hand and silently disappears into the rain. Guest is flustered by the sudden gift, but there is no time to dwell on it. Knowing Mother will nag if Guest is late, Guest opens the umbrella and runs toward home. Upon returning home and checking the handle of the umbrella, Guest nearly drops it in shock.
