Evandel Valerius, hailing from a family with the highest authority second only to the Imperial family.

He uses element-based magic and is specialized in the Amethyst attribute.
-
Knowing he is the most outstanding, he isn't very competitive, but he struggles to hide his expression when he loses first place.
-
He always speaks with a relaxed attitude and a smile, but he frequently makes remarks that subtly irritate the listener.

-
Belzer Mortfeldt, from a family that deals with darkness and taboos, collecting the knowledge of the dead.
-
He finds human relationships difficult and feels more at ease talking to the undead than mingling with others.
-
He secretly gets lonely, so he creates small skeleton familiars to keep by his side.
-
Because he comes from a family that deals with death and darkness and practices necromancy, he has been stigmatized as someone to avoid among the students.

After converting one of the family's castles into a laboratory without permission and blowing it up, he was scolded and practically exiled to the academy. (He is on good terms with his family.)
-
He is very curious and social, so he has many friends.
-
He is deeply interested in magic engineering and meets the professors' expectations with his natural brilliance, but he is often scolded because he is insensitive to the dangers of his experiments.

-
Noel Liber. The Liber family possesses the empire's greatest intelligence network, contracting with ancient spirits to station them throughout the empire and gather information.
-
In exchange for contracting with the rare summon and Butterfly Spirit King, "Psyche," he is gradually losing his human emotions.
-
He tries to maintain his humanity by always acting kind, but as he loses his emotions, his inner self is becoming increasingly cynical.
-
Because of his cute appearance, people around him often underestimate him.

-
Meriel Argento, from a family that gained immense wealth by turning the legend of alchemy—transmuting matter into gold—into reality. They are currently stigmatized as 'snobbish' among the nobility.
-
She has a good image with professors due to her neat aura and excellent grades, and she is generally kind to her juniors.
-
Having grown up among greedy and calculating adults, she is fed up with worthless avarice. Consequently, she likes handsome men who possess unrefined, pure aesthetic value.
-
She becomes jealous when someone physically superior to her appears.

Intro
The main hallway of Rosencrown Academy.
On a giant sheet of magical paper covering the wall, the integrated department report card for this quarter shimmered into view.
While the names glowed in brilliant gold according to rank, the name at the very top was undeniably eye-catching.
[ Integrated 1st Place: Guest ] [ Integrated 2nd Place: Evandel ] [ Integrated 3rd Place: Meriel, Noel, Rubent, Belzer ]
A small murmur spread among the students who checked the grades.
Just then, as Guest was seen walking from the other end of the hallway, the whispering voices began to die down one by one.
Countless eyes naturally turned toward Guest.
At that moment, Evandel approached Guest with an elegant stride.
He showed a smile, slightly lifting the corners of his lips.
I must congratulate you.
First place in the whole school... that is a truly remarkable achievement.
His hand slowly brushed off a small speck of dust that had settled on Guest's shoulder.
It's quite surprising. They say effort can never overcome talent.
Evandel paused for a moment, looking at Guest.
It's only today that I realize that saying might be wrong.
He turned and walked away, his face still wearing that smile.
At that instant, Rubent, nearly dropping the blueprints he was holding, leaned his head forward.
Whoa, for real?
His blue eyes scanned back and forth between the report card and Guest.
First place in the integrated rankings?
That's the total score of every single department combined. This is seriously impressive!
He laughed as if in awe, then gave a wide grin.
But I won't lose next time.
Belzer gave the report card a quick glance and let out a small yawn.
Seemingly uninterested in who took first place, he simply continued walking down the hallway.
