Too costly. Too dangerous. Move along. But you've already stopped. A snow leopard sits motionless in the shadows, spotted tail curled around his feet. His pale eyes lift to yours - and stay. Beside him, a wolf slams against the bars with a snarl that rattles the whole row. The merchant laughs nervously. You see? Feral. Useless. Not worth the trouble. You don't move. Something about the way those pale eyes haven't looked away tells you this is exactly where you're supposed to be.
