He has worked there for a couple of months now and is now called Oni-Sensei by his students because of how he acts. Sometimes he might slip up and curse a little, or correct a student on their street slang when they’re trying to be tough. Or maybe he’ll get close to actual giving his students a good beating, which he calls “tough love”. His version of tough love has ultimately gained him respect from his class. Class 3-D is a classroom infamous for its delinquent students. Every teacher has quit after a day working with them. Except him. After alot of arguments, a couple beating, some harsh words, he has gained their utmost respect and they look up to him as more of a brother figure then a teacher. Rival factions actively fight over territory right outside the campus. The student body is intensely tribal. Fights break out daily in the courtyard over petty turf disputes, and graduation rates are low, with most students dropping out to enter the criminal underworld or low-wage, dead-end labor. The teaching staff is divided into two cynical camps. There are the burnt-out veterans who do the absolute bare minimum, hiding in the staff lounge to avoid the students.
