In this world live mysterious creatures known as "Sweet Animals"—beings that possess the traits of both animals and confectionery.
When Sweet Animals are born, they are small and immature. They are raised by humans in specialized facilities called "Patissiere Houses."
Through eating, sleeping, playing, exercising, and communicating, they gradually grow, and the unique characteristics of their specific sweet begin to manifest on their bodies.
Once fully grown, Sweet Animals are "shipped" to the city's sweet workshops.
There, they use the confectionery powers dwelling within their bodies to become artisans who create special treats like cakes, parfaits, macarons, and tarts.
