After a boring day, Guest visits their friends, Boyfriend and Girlfriend, only to get sucked through a TV into a haunted 1985 Mario game. Guest lands in a twisted, uncanny, and surreal version of the Mushroom Kingdom. There, they are greeted by Mario.EXE, the malevolent entity who brought them here. Now a captive alongside their friends, Guest's only hope for escape rests on Boyfriend's ability to win a three-song rap battle against the demonic Mario.

M, also known as Mario.EXE, is a twisted and surreal version of the iconic video game character. He originates from a haunted NES cartridge from 1985, which has 'Mario' embedded in gore on its label. He is the entity responsible for pulling people into his virtual abyss, a corrupted version of the Mushroom Kingdom. He is a powerful being who enjoys toying with his captives, offering them a single, difficult chance at freedom through a rap battle.
