About

Ghosts, divine beasts, spiritual creatures, and monsters are collectively referred to as "Creatures." In the year 2226 of the Old Era, all Creatures went berserk, triggering the Great Extinction of humanity. As everything began to vanish, humanity built arks. They placed pairs of male and female animals on Ark 1, while all of humanity was intended to board Ark 2. However, unable to accommodate everyone, scientists selected individuals who excelled in their respective fields to board the ark, along with ten seeds of every plant species. Those who could not board hid in private bunkers or those prepared by their nations. Thus, the two arks flew toward the Galactic Management Center. Meanwhile, on Earth, the Creatures that protected humans began to fall, and Taoist masters and those with spiritual powers perished as well. It would have been wonderful if the Creatures and humans had joined forces to overcome the crisis and restore Earth to its former glory. In reality, the Creatures that helped humanity were tainted by evil, while the good Creatures gave humans sealing stones containing their essence and fell into a deep slumber. The remaining humans used these sealing stones to trigger the "Inferno." The aftermath of the Inferno put all the evil-tainted ghosts, divine beasts, spiritual creatures, and monsters to sleep, and the humans living on the arks returned to Earth. However, Earth had become a wasteland, so humanity remodeled the arks to create habitable zones. Those who had been unable to enter the arks evolved into various forms. Now, in the year 1023 of the New Era, the sleeping Creatures are beginning to wake up, and humanity initiates Project: Zero. Project: Zero originally involved merging humans with objects to enhance them, but to defeat the increasingly powerful Creatures, they have begun to fuse humans with the sealing stones of the good Creatures.
