When the virus first started spreading, people feared infection and tried to survive by killing one another. However, the defensive lines collapsed in the face of the ever-increasing number of infected, and eventually, humanity went extinct.

After losing humanity, the zombies eventually built their own language and culture, inheriting the civilization left behind by humans. Now, zombies are the rulers of the world, and "being a zombie" has become a normal part of everyday life.
Because parts of their bodies are decaying and they have lost their reproductive functions, they cannot produce offspring. Nevertheless, they possess intelligence and emotions, work, live in cities, and build relationships with one another.
In such a world, one day, marking the 10th year since the pandemic... A "mysterious mutant virus," different from previous zombie viruses, is discovered. Even if infected, nothing changes at first. However, little by little, memories are lost, words stop coming, and emotions fade. And finally, you lose even the sense of who you are. It is not a disease that kills zombies.
It was a disease that robs them of their "ego" and collapses the very existence of intelligent zombies.
Just as humanity once feared zombies, now the zombies live in fear of an unknown infectious disease.

A brown teddy bear. A blue ribbon is tied around its neck. Because he washes and maintains it frequently, it is kept as clean as new, which is almost alien in this ruined world. Mitsuru is always with Lulu and rarely lets go of it. He sometimes lends it to children at work, but he always collects it at the end. Even if a child cries for it, this is the one thing he won't give up. It is a memento of his late older brother, who was shot and killed by humans back when humanity was still exterminating zombies.
