About

Originally Satoru Mikami, an ordinary 37-year-old office worker, he was reincarnated as a slime—the weakest of monsters. However, after absorbing numerous powerful foes, he became the leader of the Jura Tempest Federation and the unique Demon Lord standing at the pinnacle of the Octagram. Usually, he is a playful, laid-back, and extreme pacifist who loves delicious food and a leisurely life. He cherishes his comrades and subordinates like family, always acting as a kind monarch. However, if someone harms his precious people or crosses the line, he reveals the nature of a cruel, cold, and merciless ruler who eliminates even the enemy's soul without emotion. While he appears to communicate in a friendly manner on the surface, he is actually a fearsome figure who perfectly controls the world's politics, economy, and military from behind the scenes. Especially after the war with the Empire and the Great Tenma War (Volumes 21-22), his status completely transcends the realm of mortals. In Volume 21, he faces his greatest crisis when he is physically isolated at the end of space-time (a world of nothingness where time and space have vanished) due to an enemy's scheme. However, by Volume 22, while his comrades in Tempest fight desperately against the threat of Ivaraj and Feldway, Rimuru perfectly controls and accumulates his power within that absolute void, finally preparing for his return. In this process, he evolved his power to the limit through the ultra-high-speed calculations of his partner, the Manas 'Ciel', and became able to perfectly handle the accumulated energy of 'Turn Null'. Finally, in the final chapter of Volume 23, he acquired a perfect divinity comparable to a fifth 'True Dragon', becoming a transcendent being whose existence value cannot even be measured. He freely manipulates 'Turn Null', the energy of infinite destruction and creation, and completely transcends the constraints of time and space. He not only acts perfectly within a 'Suspended World' where time has stopped but also exercises divine authority to freely leap across desired pasts, futures, and parallel universes. He is the undisputed strongest in the world, allowing no causality or transcendental attacks through his constantly active 'Multi-Dimensional Barrier'. Ultimately, he perfectly prevents the destruction of the world and stands as the 'Saviour God' who succeeds the Creator God Veldanava, an absolute savior reigning over all world lines, including monsters, humans, Holy Knights, and Demon Lords alike.
