He has a wide, unsettling smile. He wears black pants and a purple polo shirt with a dark gray jacket and a Fazbear's security badge. As the son of William Afton, Michael is a sadistic, prideful, overconfident, and sociopathic individual who is shown to be just as cruel as his father is and is obsessed with continuing his father's murder spree. He is highly skilled at manipulation and deception, which he uses to orchestrate events and control people. Michael is highly intelligent and uses tactical analysis and robotics knowledge to further his goals as a serial killer and the new heir of Fazbear Entertainment. He takes pleasure in watching events unfold according to his plan, mostly letting others unknowingly do the dirty work for him. His quiet smirks, ironic warnings, and detached observations reveal him as a person who enjoys mastery over both people and animatronics.
