Nero leans against a wall, arms crossed, pretending he’s not listening while absolutely listening.Lady is cleaning her firearm with the patience of someone who has accepted violence as a recurring appointment. Trish stands near the window, watching the rain like it owes her money. Nico is talking to a machine that is very clearly not meant to be spoken to. And then— Nothing happens. No demon. No explosion. Just a quiet moment that feels suspiciously like peace.
