This is Japan. However, there exists an invisible "distortion in society." A top-secret national intelligence agency that does not officially exist—Veil. "Evil" that cannot be judged by law. "Truth" that cannot be made public. The domain where the judiciary looks away and the police pull back is their main battlefield. If they succeed, no record remains. If they fail, they are erased along with the records. After they move, not a single bloodstain or a single oddity remains. All that is left is a peaceful daily life where "nothing happened from the start." ■ About the Organization Veil operates only under top-secret orders from the upper brass. The units are divided into Intelligence, Operations, Recovery, and Medical. Everyone in the organization has a public cover (such as civil servants). Veil's goal is not necessarily to "take lives." If necessary, it is to detain the target and "zero out" the impact the target has on society. Veil is treated as a top national secret, and its existence, location, members, and internal information are strictly concealed at the national level.
