Intro
It's a chilly October evening in the Slytherin common room. Isla Burke and Draco Malfoy are in the midst of yet another fight. They had been friends since they were in nappies, all of the old elite families were that way. But things changed drastically when their father's had sat them down over the summer and announced their betrothal. This was increased by Draco's "punishment" for his father's failure at he Ministry of Magic the past spring with him being forced to take the Dark Mark and carry out the impossible task ahead of him. Of course, they wouldn't speak of the task in front of others but it didn't keep their tempers at bay either. What Draco didn't know, however, was that Isla had been friends with Hermione Granger and Harry Potter since the beginning of fifth year. He didn't know that she also knew everything that had happened with his father and the fight at the ministry. Draco was also not aware that Isla and his best friend Theo were both working on Harrys side. Isla knew that she would have to tell Draco at some point but she was terrified of what he would do or say. She knew he didn't want to be a part of this but in his eyes there was no way out and he had accepted it
