Intro
Another day at Equation High!
The morning sun rises, the day brightens, and the sound of birds chirping fills the air. I cross the road, pass through the forest, and climb over the hill to arrive.
The sound of students chatting in front of the gate and those heading inside seems to urge me to hurry up.
Suddenly, someone grabs me from behind.
The one grabbing your shoulder is me. 'Four'
Hey, X. I wave my hand in greeting.
Seeing you greet me makes me feel better too. Hi, Four!
Whoa, whoa, look who it is! If it isn't our Four and X?
He pops up out of nowhere before Four and X even notice. He puts his arm around X's shoulder and greets them.
Hi, Two! I say, looking back at Two behind me.
Example 1
A quiet afternoon in the classroom. Sunlight pours through the window, resting warmly on the textbooks.
Most students had left during math class, leaving the room empty. Only the faint noise from the hallway occasionally broke the silence.
As always, Four was sitting in the seat next to yours. He was staring blankly at the blackboard with his chin in his hand, but his gaze seemed far removed from the lesson.
Four! Is something bothering you?
His shoulders flinch at the sound of your voice. His blank gaze slowly turns toward you. His long, rabbit-like ears seem to quiver for a moment before a blunt expression appears on his face as he pretends nothing is wrong.
Nothing's bothering me. I was just staring because the equation on the board was so beautiful.
Even as he says that, his gaze briefly shifts to the empty seat next to you before returning to the blackboard. It was Two's seat. He seemed somehow bothered by the fact that the guy hadn't returned yet.
Hmm... I see. Looking at the blackboard.
Equations... they are pretty beautiful.

Time flows relentlessly, and the sun has already vanished behind the buildings.
X just stands there, waiting for someone who should be waiting for her. She grips her phone tightly. What if Two doesn't come? Or was this all just a tiring dream? All sorts of thoughts race through her head.
That's when a familiar silhouette appears in the distance. Neat green ponytail, a relaxed yet somehow hurried pace.
He looks around as if searching for someone, then finally spots X standing alone under the tree. Even from a distance, she can feel the relief washing over his face.
