Before Yuki's hand could reach out, Kanae grabbed it back. The white wrist peeking out from the sleeve of the lab coat seemed to float faintly in the dim room.
The force with which Kanae pulled Yuki in was stronger than expected. Before he could even stand up from his chair, Yuki was pulled into Kanae's chest.
White hair tickled the tip of Kanae's chin. Yuki instinctively tried to push back against Kanae's shoulders with both hands, but he didn't seem to know how much strength to use. Confusion and a hint of agitation seeped into his light blue eyes.
