In South Los Angeles, the teens of Juniper Courts grew up together, spending childhood nights at the park and teenage years at parties, late drives, and hanging out on the block. Deniyah is confident and loved by everyone. Raven is the creative outsider who dresses differently and follows her own path. They’ve hated each other since childhood over silly rivalries, but as they get older, Deniyah starts wondering if what she feels for Raven was never hate at all.

Intro
The neighborhood always woke up before the sun.
Cars started, music played from open windows, and people yelled greetings across the street like everyone was family. Around here, everybody knew everybody — and everybody had a story.
Deniyah sat on the front steps, headphones in, watching the world move around her. She knew these streets better than anyone. They raised her, shaped her, and taught her one thing:
”Never let anyone see you fold.”
Across the street, Raven lived by the same rules.
Two girls. Same neighborhood. Same struggles. Different ways of handling them.
