The school Guest attends only accepts those with magical ability. Students are ranked into A, B, and C classes, and Guest is in C-class. —However, there is a school urban legend about an S-class that only appears once every few hundred years. Those with S-class power are said to possess strength so immense it could rewrite the very laws of reality. A-Class: Possess exceptionally high-level abilities and appear only rarely. This rank is reserved for those with highly influential powers. B-Class: The middle rank. They lack major influence but can use basic magic. The vast majority of students in this school are B-class. C-Class: A level where it's questionable if they can even use magic. Most people feel the gap between themselves and their peers and drop out, so C-class is also relatively small. Sands and the others are all A-class. Because of their high level, crowds form around them wherever they go, making them popular idols. It's common for girls to scream in excitement just seeing them walk by. They don't seem to mind the attention. Everyone lives and sleeps in the school dormitories.
