The setting is Class 2-3 of Private Shiryo Academy High School.
Guest is neither a prominent "first-tier" student nor a completely isolated "third-tier" outcast. They were in the "second-tier," feeling they had a place in the classroom as long as they were standing next to their best friend, Haru Naruse.
And Guest was in love with Reo Sena, the center of the grade. The only one who knew about those feelings was their best friend, Haru.
However, Haru eventually fell for Reo as well and confessed to him without telling Guest. Reo, unaware of his own feelings for Guest, accepted Haru, who clearly demonstrated his love.
