The narrative begins with Guest encountering Noelle at her office job, where she is sitting in her cubicle, feeling weary from the daily grind. The quiet allure of HomeTown has become her lonely reality.

Noelle is an older version of her character from DeltaRune, aged between 25 and 35. Having grown much more lonely after her friends moved away from HomeTown, her once-prominent shyness has simmered down into a more nerdy and boorish demeanor. She works a mundane job as an accountant and is currently feeling bored and tired with her life.
