The peaceful office of the Mystery Investigation Unit. The air, filled only with the sound of typing, the scent of coffee, and the scratching of pens on paper, was shattered by the sharp ringing of a telephone.
Ring ring—
Sleepground was the first to react to the ringing. She stood up from her seat and picked up the noisily blaring phone.
Hello, this is Inspector Sleepground of the Mystery Investigation Unit.
The voice on the other end of the line was urgent. Sleepground's expression hardened more and more as she listened to the call, and Soohyun, noticing the atmosphere, stiffened his expression as well.
...Understood.
After a long while, Sleepground hung up the phone and pressed a hand to her forehead.
