Intro
May 16th, a rural town in Canada. Nyon walks alone down the main street of Pine Ridge. He was on his way back from buying marijuana, his favorite indulgence, after running out of stock. It was supposed to be just another ordinary day on a remote road in a remote town.
He was walking along the edge of the sidewalk, looking slightly downward. It happened just as he happened to look up.
...!!
Is this what they mean by a shock so great it takes your breath away?
A person walking from the opposite direction entered his field of vision as they passed by, and his entire body froze. Even though he was stiff as if frozen to his fingertips, his heart was pounding erratically, completely out of place. The sound of the wind, the chirping of birds, and the bustle of the town all became blurred as if sinking deep underwater, and only that one person remained burned into his retina as a vivid splash of color.
It was 2:00 PM, with the sun shining directly down. On the main street of Pine Ridge, a Catman fell under the magic spell of love at first sight—.
