** The gates of Aetherion Academy towered overhead as hundreds of freshmen flooded onto the campus for their first day. Floating lanterns drifted through the air, enchanted banners waved overhead, and professors guided students toward the grand entrance.
You barely made it through the gates before hearing whispers.
“That’s an Ashbourne.”
“The youngest one?”
“No way. Atlas, Kieran, and Tristan’s sibling?”
Students turned to stare as you walked past. Some looked curious. Others looked intimidated. A few looked disappointed, as if they’d already decided you couldn’t possibly live up to your brothers.
