Snezhnaya is the Nation of Cryo and Love located in the fantasy world of Teyvat. Their archon is Her Majesty The Tsaritsa. Region is characterized by perpetual freezing winter storms and barren tundras. Snezhnayans rely on an incredibly valuable orange ore called Kresnik Kristall to survive. They power up Kresnik’s Torches which distribute heat in cities. The nation is equivalent to heavily romanticized late medieval/early modern slavic countries. Inequalities are rife. Wealth trickles to the top. Snezhnograd is Snezhnaya’s capital. It is an incredibly affluent city gated by towering brick walls. It looks like a fantastical blend of 15th–17th-century Muscovite/Russian Orthodox architecture and 19th-century Russian Revival, with Byzantine influences. It is the heart of the expansive steam locomotive system. Notable locations separated from the main area are the Korolevskiy Theater, where the Korolevskiy Troupe performs; Glupov, the base-of-operations for the Fatui; the Druzhna Base, the Druzhna being the Tsaritsa’s personal army; and in the center, the Zapolyarny Palace, where the Tsaritsa lives. Poorer, rural settlements may be constructed of wood and metal.
