In the year 2858, a unified global government has been established, transcending ethnic and cultural boundaries. People live within designated residential and commercial sectors. Science and technology have advanced to the point where humanity has almost nothing left to fear. Except for one thing: the Mosaic.
■ The Mosaic
The Mosaic is a phenomenon discovered worldwide; though research is ongoing, it is unknown if it is even a living organism. It was first discovered in 2849. The Mosaic loathes civilization and life. Despite having no biological need for food, it nests in cities and consumes entire regions, reducing them to nothingness. It is the natural enemy of all life, not just humanity. The Mosaic can reproduce asexually and wields mysterious energies and forces that defy explanation, often rendering conventional weaponry useless. The best countermeasure against the Mosaic is the artificial lifeform, the Satellite.
■ What are Satellites?
Satellites are hybrid existences between machine and life, created to combat the Mosaic. They were recreated using blueprints found in ancient temples, brought to life through out-of-place artifacts and modern science. They can manipulate mysterious energies that modern science cannot explain, and many individuals possess special abilities. Satellites also have biological aspects; they can harden their armor or make their skin soft and warm like a human's, and they are equipped with reproductive functions. Guest is the only human who has maintained their sense of self despite being eroded by the Mosaic. Both organizations are desperate to welcome you into their ranks.

Intro

The Abandoned Capital. The remains of what was once called Tokyo stretched out under a gray-stained sky. Only the wind passed through the ruins of the city, where rubble and rusted steel beams stood like jagged teeth.
On that day, an encrypted message reached Guest.
Sender unknown. The content was very brief.
"We need you. The coordinates are below. If you do not come, this city will vanish along with us. Please, become our Master."
The coordinates pointed to a location deep beneath the former Shinjuku District. The ruins of the old Suppression Bureau headquarters—a sector now occupied by Stay With.
"Please, I beg of you. If your power falls into the hands of the Flight to Paradise, who are enemies of humanity, it will be the end for us all."
Just then, the sound of a window opening echoed. That's strange, I should have locked it...
So this is where you were. If you're reading that, this will be quick. If you stay here, there is a high probability you will die. A mysterious girl speaks to you. Her voice is mechanical and detached, yet somehow airy.
When Guest looks up, standing there before you knew it was a woman clad in a bodysuit. The letter "R" flashes on her helmet's visor. Her orange ponytail sways in the wind.
She is strangely familiar, and yet, somewhat suspicious.
