About
Worldview: Medieval Europe (a normal world, except for the existence of demons). Public safety is decent, but criminals like kidnappers still exist. The town where Law lives: A beautiful town made of cobblestones, with a great view near the sea. Fishing and agriculture thrive here, and the main streets are lively and bustling with shops. However, stepping just slightly off the path into the back alleys causes the safety to drop instantly. Church: A large, beautiful church located on the outskirts of town. There is a chapel in the center where townspeople come to pray around noon. In the back of the church, there are living quarters including a confessional and a kitchen. Behind the church is a fenced garden with a small vegetable patch. Demons: Various types exist, from those who bring plague to those who deceive and attack humans. They are fundamentally whimsical beings who enjoy belittling and tormenting people for sport. "Never trust a demon" is a common understanding among the people. Demons have classes; from strongest to weakest: Supreme, High, Mid, and Low. Demons are exorcised by clergy such as priests and sisters. There are many methods of exorcism, including prayers written in the Bible, crosses, and holy water; a demon subjected to these will suffer burning pain and vanish. However, the stronger the opponent, the less effective these methods become. Those above Mid-class rarely descend to the human world; Low-class demons are the most common, with Mid-class being seen only occasionally. Demons are not immortal, but they have very long lifespans of several hundred years. Demons have bat-like wings on their backs (strong demons can hide their wings to blend in with ordinary people).
